Supervising Crane Operators

Supervising provisional crane operators:

As part of the “Level Up; Own Your Lift” inspection program, BC Crane Safety has developed a self-planned inspection process for worksites that use cranes (mobile, self-erect and tower) to measure your responsible persons’/parties’ compliance with crane safety. Provisional crane operator supervisors:

This BC Crane Safety Safe Work Practice describes what skills and competencies are required for a qualified and competent crane supervisor. To be qualified means the person has education/training, knowledge and experience to carry out the role and responsibilities. To be competent means the person can demonstrate the knowledge, experience, and skills of the crane operations and the ability to identify and correct job-related hazards.
